At least five people, including a woman, were killed in separate incidents across the metropolis on Friday. In the first incident, a 50-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified persons over a property issue in Gujjarpura police precincts.
The victim was identified as Jahangir, a resident of China Scheme. According to police, the victim was standing outside his house when three persons approached and opened fire on him. As a result, Jahangir sustained serious bullet injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Police shifted the body to a city morgue for autopsy and registered a case against three accused persons, Ramzan, Shahbaz and one unidentified, on the complaint of victim’s wife, Abida. In the second incident, a 25-year-old woman was killed by a rashly driven truck while her husband received injuries in the limits of Mughalpura police.
